This country must seem strange to non-Greeks, it sure is difficult for vegeterians, and I don't even want to think about what a nightmare it must be for a non-Greek vegeterian.I'm always reminded of that scene in My Big Fat Greek Wedding:"YOU DON'T EAT NO MEAT??!!?!?!?!!"(everybody stares)"It's okay. I make chicken."
Lent has been great in that respect, though I had dinner at some taverna in a tiny village on Vardousia the other week and they couldn't comprehend it, so they brought us chicken! To my partner's parents Meat = Food. Everything else doesn't count.

As a vegetarian (bar sushi) this makes it one of the stranger times of the year for me. I ate chocolate instead, very Easter-y of me.
